Christmas Day 2010

One of these days, I'll take the time to sit down and write an actual blog post; but for now, it's just more pics!

We did celebrate Christmas Eve, in high style with Bear's family, but alas, I apparently took ZERO pictures of that event! Must've been too busy planting myself face-first in their homemade tamales, and enjoying my first-ever game of "Apples to Apples." Hopefully Pop-Pop got some good pics from that night with his much-better-than-mine camera!

Here's Kiwi, cruising in her new big-girl bike (I'm learning to live with the fact that my first-born never wears clothes...and you're going to have to, too):

Santa brought Ellie lots of buckles and locks to open (Why? WHY would we want to give her practice on getting into stuff??):

"There's gotta be some more loot in here..."

It was hard shopping for Ellie--she's too old for baby stuff and too young for most other stuff, and we still have plenty of toys from when Keira was her age, anyway. I solved this problem by trying to get things that applied to both of them, like a little stand mixer for their play kitchen:

Here's Aunt Jen-Jen and cousin Zachary!
Ellie got a Step 2 Whisper Ride Buggy to complement Keira's bike, and stored Keira's stuffed horse, Borey, under the hood. One horsepower. Get it? Get it?
"It's the princess oven I wanted!!"
She did wear her new Tinkerbell jammies for an hour or two...hey, it's progress!
Ellie loved this train set but got super-concerned whenever the train went over the collapsing bridge and crashed. She'd clap her hands to her cheeks and yell, "Ohhhh NO!" Poor kid--we found her stress over it pretty entertaining. Here she is, sporting her new boots:
Speaking of boots, Bear got me an awesome pair for Christmas, and we had an all-around wonderful day of gluttony!
