Last weekend, Keira had not one, but two birthday parties to attend at The Little Gym. Seeing as how it costs the equivalent of a semester at Yale to take a class at this place, we are not members, and it was nice to have a chance to check it out! At the first party, Keira was pretty clueless when it came to following directions, standing in line for the trampoline, etc. but by the end of the second party, she was getting to be quite a pro.
Ways to kill time while waiting in line: hug and kiss the little boy next to you and see what he does. (He gave her a "WTF?" look and slowly sauntered away.)
For her part, Ellie seems to have decided she needs some more fiber in her diet:
On Friday, Keira started her own gymnastics class at a different (read: cheaper) gymnastics place, which she has been going to for a while last year, until she dropped out on account of boredom and lack of attention span. Unfortunately, she has to be in the 18 months-3 years "Parent and Me" class because she didn't turn 3 before the class started, and all the other kids are MUCH closer to the "18 months" end, so I'm afraid she's going to get bored again pretty quickly! We'll see...
Here's Keira at the same age, doing the same thing, only looking slightly more maniacal:

Back to Ellie: "OK, Dad, I've got the hang of this. Gimme that spoon!"
This coming week will be all about planning Keira's actual birthday (next Friday), her first trip to the movies (the following Wednesday), and her two-birthday-parties-in-one-day (that Saturday), plus getting the girls to the doctor for their 6-month and 3-year checkups. Whew!
I can't believe how much they look alike in their first cereal pics. It will be interesting to see how close their resemblance is when Ellie is on the verge of turning three.
