Last week, Keira tried to help Ellie get down from a kitchen chair, and ended up accidentally sending her face-first into the tile floor. A bloody nose, bloody lip, and many tears later, "Ells," as Kiwi calls her, was up and running again, though. Unfortunately for her, she's pretty used to being knocked down and pushed around!
Don't think our house is entirely Fight Club-esque, though. The older Ellie gets, and the more she's able to communicate, the more adorably the two of them play together. They actually have little conversations in the back seat of the car:
Ellie, seeing Keira's snack: "Me?"
Keira: "Ellie wants a bite?"
Ellie: "Mmmmm?" (That's how Ellie says yes, but Keira has declared she's going to teach her how to say it the right way, so she follows this up the same way every time.)
Keira: "Ellie say yes?"
Ellie: "Yessssssss."
Keira: "Big girl!! Here you go, but don't eat it all, okaaaay?"
Ellie: "Okayyyy."
[Keira hands her snack to Ellie]
Ellie: "Tanks!"
Here's a situation where "Ellie say yes?" didn't go quite so well for the Big Sister, though. Ellie's no sissy when a pumpkin pie smoothie is at stake!
As small as she is, we can already see that Ellie-Bug is turning out to be quite the tough little chick. Seriously, would you want to mess with this??
Yeah, I didn't think so.
I can't believe how grown up Ellie is already!
ReplyDeleteThat picture of her is priceless! lmao!
