Six month mark!

I'm now officially 6 months (24 weeks) along, which is weird because a) it doesn't feel like it's been that long, and b) some people at work still haven't realized I'm pregnant. I was sitting at lunch in the staff lounge the other day, and after about half an hour, the teacher next to me leaned in and said, "Okay, I have to ask...are you pregnant?" She said it with this cringe on her face, as if she might be taking a giant risk and insulting what could, in fact, be just a beer gut. And the custodian I see every day--well, every day that I work--walked past me last week and then stopped, pointed at my belly, and said, "Baby?! Congratulations!!"

I guess not having reached the ginormous stage yet could be considered a good thing, but it also leads me to wonder whether I really just look like I've had a few too many peanut M&M's...which I have, but that's not exactly the look I aspire to!

The belly:

On a completely unrelated note, this just in from the Dora-Obsessed Toddler Department: when I changed Cubby's diaper today, I took out a couple of baby wipes and set them down on her belly first. She tossed them overboard and then said, in what I assume was her attempt at a Swiper voice, "You'll NEVER find the wipes NOW! Hahahahaha!" I almost fell over.

Oh, and I found her the best shirt ever at Target: it says, "Conserve water: drink chocolate milk." If only it were spelled "chocka-meeelk," it would be made for her!
