Cubby fell asleep on me yesterday afternoon, laying on her tummy on MY tummy, and I can't think of a more blissful feeling than relaxing with my feet up, one Cub kicking in my belly and the other sleeping on it.
Bear also got his share of cozy time with Cubby:
Our first board game as a family: Dora Candyland!
We spent some time pushing Cubby on the swing set (those cute hair bows came in Cubby's Christmas stocking and were later chewed up by a certain pup who shall remain nameless--there's four bucks Santa will never see again!)...
...and this is just a cute pic with no context whatsoever:
Cubby has been kicking the cute into full gear lately, exclaiming, "Happy New Year, Mommy/Daddy!" all the time and coming up with gems like (half-crying and very agitated), "My BUTT is falling off! Can you change my diapah?!" Bear had to change her because I was laughing too hard to do anything else...no word on how, exactly, her butt was falling off, but it appears to still be intact as far as I can see.
2009 To-Do List
1. Transform Junk Room into Cubby Two's room
2. Deliver a healthy Cubby Two, ideally on April 2nd...this is my arbitrarily-chosen delivery date that would make the Cubs exactly 2.5 years apart and narrowly avoid an April Fool's Day delivery:
"Hello, Bear? Come home now--I'm in labor!"
"Ha-ha, very funny." [Click]
3. Potty train Cubby before she is able to change her own diaper...and/or teach her how to change Cubby Two's diaper.
4. Lose enough baby weight by August so as not to still look pregnant upon return to work.
5. Finally read the frickin' Twilight books and see what all the fuss is about. Immediately join bandwagon far too late, or begin by-then-irrelevant mocking of Twilight fans and declare both Edward and Jacob to be total wussies.
6. Plan awesome 35th birthday festivities for Bear...and execute them flawlessly.
7. Finish painting interior of house.
8. Have fun, learn, and be grateful...daily.
I LOVE #3!! Hilarious!! Ethan's almost at that point, too, but he flatly refuses to have anything to do with his big boy potty. sigh
