Fight Club: Toddler Edition

At the risk of breaking the first AND second rules of Fight Club, I have to talk about the fact that our little princess-face is now sporting a mean-looking owie just below one eye, making her look like she's been participating in some midnight fistfights with an imaginary friend (who, I presume, does not happen to have washboard abs like the grown-up version...and if there are any Brad Pitt-esque toddlers running around, real or imaginary, I don't want to know about it).

Here's what Kiwi looked like before her run-in with the corner of a cardboard box (note that she chose her own headwear here, and that we are not crazy enough to put her in a knit cap in 90-degree weather...but it is a ridiculously cute hat, no?):

Aaaand here she is now, complete with the Saddest Sad Face that Ever Was:

Ellie's sporting a couple of owies of her own, since we had to take her in for Blood Draw Number Four Jillion to follow up on her TSH numbers, which were just slightly elevated last month. They took some blood from her arm, found that wasn't enough, and did the dreaded heel-prick, too, so she's got a bruised arm and a scabbed heel. (We should find out next week whether her numbers are normal now, or whether I'll have to flip out because more tests are needed.)

Poor girls!

  1. Seriously, Silas is obsessed with Keira's ouchie. He keeps asking to see the picture and then points to his eye saying what sounds like "it hurts".
