On Friday, we went to the zoo with Grammy, Grampy, Grandma W., Pap-Pap, and Aunt Jen. Here's Keira getting some "face time" with a chimp (who, unfortunately, is hard to see due to the glare on the glass):

The night before, I had told Keira that maybe we would get to feed the giraffes, and mentioned how they'd lick the food off of our hands with their long tongues. She burst into tears and said, "I don't want giraffes to lick me!" When the time came, though, she did a great job of feeding them:
Here's Keira participating in a few of her favorite pastimes, all at once: eating yogurt ("yo"), watching "Dora," and doing a puzzle. I've been buying her 24-piece puzzles from the dollar section at Target, and she does them all by herself now! At first, I thought she was just memorizing the ones we'd done together several times (and maybe she was), but then she put a brand new one together with no help at all yesterday:
Ellie is obsessed with her hands lately, and does this Mr. Burns thing that has us convinced she's plotting world domination:
We busted out the inflatable pool and the water table today, and Keira had a blast:
Over the past week, we also hosted a ginormous 4th of July party-slash-family reunion, and went to a beach house for Keira's friend's birthday party. Summer is off to a busy, but fun, start for our girls!
