On the morning of her birthday this year, Princess Kiwi made three requests:
1) Hot dogs for breakfast. (Hurl. Mommy offered waffles instead and was relieved when she chose those.)
2) "Old McDonald's" for lunch. (Remind me to bring ear plugs the next time we visit the PlayLand of Loudness...she had a blast, though.)
3) No nap. Done!
Who says 3-year-olds are too big for exersaucers?
Even the smartest three-year-olds don't recognize a Cake Wreck when they see one:
How could she have lived this long without a Sleeping Beauty dress?!
The next day, we went to a local pumpkin patch with Grammy, Grampy, and Aunt Jen:
I can't believe she willingly got on this pony. About halfway through, she started throwing one arm up and yelling, "YeeHAW!" every few feet, too:
Being three is exhausting!
On Wednesday, we're taking her to see Toy Story as her first movie theater experience...stay tuned to see whether she a) gets freaked out by the volume, b) wants to run around and ignore the movie entirely, c) gets soda or candy on her outfit and demands to go home and change, or d) becomes One of Us and begins the life of a movie-lover!
Next Saturday is her princess party, so I'll be making one last attempt at the castle cake before I give up entirely and do cupcakes (and try not to ruin those)...so much to do, so little time!
Happy birthday from another mommy of a new three year old!
ReplyDeleteWhat a big girl! And we are routing for your castle cake. We know you can do it!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your adorable cub! And I'm with you on the cake stress. My daughter's 3rd is next month and she requested an Ariel cake. Thank goodness they have a pan for that!
