Gratitude Part II: Modern Medicine

Poor Cubby has yet another (probable) MRSA boil in her diaper area, and possible the beginnings of another one on her abdomen, so we're going to take her to urgent care tonight for another round of Bactrim before it gets any worse. This will be the 4th time we've been through this, and apparently the only "cure" is to potty train her, because it lives in the diaper area and tries to infect every little rash/pimple she gets, no matter how clean and dry we keep her. We're going to Disneyland, having an ultrasound, and celebrating two separate Thanksgivings this week, but after that, I think I'm going to have to set aside a few days to stay at home and try to get the little Binks out of diapers and into Dora underwear.

Thank goodness for modern medicine, our health insurance, and having a pediatric nurse for a sister-in-law (and a former nurse for a mother-in-law), without all of which it could be much worse! As it is, Cubby hates having the warm compress put in her diaper...she puckers up her bottom lip and cries so hard and tells me, "She doesn't yike dat, Mommeeeee!" It's almost enough to make me pucker up and cry, too! Hopefully she'll be on the road to recovery before the weekend is over.

I feel like all I've done all day is torture both of our girls: Cate managed to figure out a way to take off both onesies we've tried now, so we came out in the morning yet again to find her lying there triumphantly in her crate, with the onesie balled up nearby. She's not feeling quite so triumphant now, though:

Is she turning into her namesake??

My apologies to both of you. It's for your own good, really.
Well, not all of it...this was just for fun:

It was NOT my idea (it totally would have been Grampy's, though) and she begged me to put it on her. I swear.
