Sometimes Cubby gets freaked out by loud noises or just random things, and a few times I told her, "That's okay! Mommy and Daddy always help you." That has now become her mantra, and she says it to herself every time something makes her nervous--always in the exact same high-pitched Comforting Voice. I finally got her to say it on video:
Her latest version of it is when she makes a mess:
Me: "Awww, Binks! You just got Mommy's makeup all over the carpet!"
Cubby: "That's okay! Mommy and Daddy ALWAYS cyeen it up!"
