Caution: Cubby at Play!

Yesterday, my friend Emily and her two adorable kids came over for a play date. Emily and her family are living in Florida right now, but are in town for a visit, and it was so cute to see Cubby and Madison play together!

"So you recommend the organic animal crackers? Interesting..."


"Mom, do you mind??"


Cubby loved baby Henry and gave him plenty of little kisses and "softies" on his head. When he cried, she crouched down by him and asked, "What's wrong, little guy?" She's definitely a big sister in training!


At long last, Cubby had someone to swing with her on the "bus"!


Somehow I failed to get a pic of the two of them bathing Trixie Dolly together in the water table, but here they are playing together:

We had a great time, and it was nice to steal a little "new mom of two" wisdom from Emily, and to practice holding a little baby again, too!

Today, Cub tried her hand (har har) at finger painting:

Later, she got decked out in her Lilo gear and did a Hawaiian dance for me, while I tried not to keel over from the cuteness of it all...thanks, Grandma Marmee!

Aaaand she finished off her afternoon by playing in the back yard and trying to feed Cate rocks (Surprisingly, Cate declined...socks, yes, but rocks, no. What a discerning palate our pup has!):
