- My birthday on Tuesday: Bear made me breakfast, got me a pregnancy massage and pedicure, and then took me on a movie date and to dinner and dessert. Perfection.
- The hallways and entryway (a.k.a. the bane of my existence for the past couple of months) are finally painted!
- Cubby Two's room is painted and awaiting ladybug or turtle accessories (and still mostly empty, since Cubby One is still occupying the crib and Cubby Two will be in the bassinet in our room for a while):
- The scrapbook is done and ready for hospital/newborn pics to finish it off--I'm not a hardcore scrapbooker and don't do much besides mount stuff on colorful paper, but here's a sample page:
- In short, the To-Do list is almost completely caput, pending car seat installation and possible carpet cleaning. Ta-da. *collapse*
In the not-so-happy category are the fact that Cubby continues to strip and have purposeful potty "accidents" anytime I'm not watching her like a hawk, which is becoming mondo frustrating; and the idea of returning to work for three days next week before I start maternity leave, which does NOT sound appealing right now. Maybe Cubby Two will decide to show up this weekend so I can call in and use the old "producing a human" excuse to get out of it.
Here are some pics from today, when we went to a nearby children's museum with my friend Emily and her kiddos before they head back to Florida *sniff, sniff*.Madison: "What are you in for?"
Cubby: "Public urination and nudity. You?"
Madison: "I totally shoplifted this apron."
The look on Cubby's face is sun-in-the-eyes squintiness, not disgust at the Star Trek thing Madison appears to be doing with her hand:
This was Cubby's favorite part: sliding down the pole in the pretend firehouse. We won't dwell on the possible implications of her love of nudity and her preoccupation with the pole, okie-dokie?
Being scientists:
Thanks for coming out to hang with us today! And thanks for getting me there in one piece. :-) Madison had a blast. We miss you guys already!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck! Let us know who wins the baby guess game, I am pretty darn sure it will be me. ;) Oh, and no worries about the public urination, The Son pooped on the floor.
ReplyDeleteLove the paint colors and it's totally awesome to get home improvement projects done before #2 arrives. Because you'll never get to do home improvement projects again without having to hide all of your tools lest a toddler runs away with it and starts putting holes in the wall with the screwdriver. Not that it happened to us.
ReplyDeleteAlmost there though! Can't wait to find out!
Your house looks fabulous!
